RECORD ANYTHING


Press record and go. A live level meter shows your input before you start, so you can set your level and catch the moment. Record clean, or record through the Collage effects rack so the sound is printed into the take. Pause and resume without starting a new file, drop markers as you go, and choose your bit depth, sample rate and mic pattern.

PLAY ALONG WITH A CLICK


The built-in metronome counts you in. With the click running, takes start on the next downbeat and finish on the bar line, so loops land exactly on the beat. A take recorded to the click keeps its tempo and time signature in its name.

RECORD WITHOUT UNLOCKING


Start a take from Control Center, the Action Button or the Lock Screen, without opening the app. A live recording card on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the take as it runs, and a Home Screen widget keeps your latest takes one tap away.

THE COLLAGE EFFECTS ENGINE


MURAL has Collage built in: 12 effect modules with over 90 effect variants, covering reverbs, delays, filters, saturation, modulation, dynamics, EQ, stereo width and spectral effects, plus over 1,500 presets. Play the knobs and sliders right on the Record page, or open the full workstation to reorder the chain, morph between settings, lock the parameters you love and save your own racks. Loop your last take through the engine to hear every change instantly.

TURN TAKES INTO MATERIAL


Open any take in the editor to trim, reverse, normalize and repitch it. Slice it into beat-aligned loops, then change their pitch in real time while they play. Split a recording into stems, clean up noise, and transcribe speech to text. All of it runs right on your phone.
