TaleReady: Audiobook Player

Leave your iPhone at home. Take your audiobook with you on Apple Watch.

TaleReady is a private audiobook player for DRM-free audio files you already own, thousands of free LibriVox classics, and your own podcast feeds. TaleReady prepares the next stretch on Apple Watch, verifies that the watch can actually play it, and remembers exactly where you stopped.

FREE CLASSICS FROM LIBRIVOX

• Browse and search public-domain audiobooks read by LibriVox volunteers
• Add a book in one tap; it downloads in the background, even with your iPhone locked
• No ads, no account, no subscription

YOUR PODCASTS ON YOUR WRIST

• Paste a private RSS link, such as a paid podcast membership
• Play an episode on iPhone, or send it to Apple Watch with one tap
• Finished episodes clean themselves up; Settings shows what takes space

LEAVE YOUR IPHONE BEHIND

Choose how much of your book to prepare for Apple Watch—from a custom listening window to the whole book. TaleReady counts only audio the watch has received and verified as playable, so the time shown as ready is the time actually available offline.

Play prepared chapters directly on Apple Watch during a walk, run, workout, or commute. Your listening position and played chapters stay aligned when you return to iPhone. Apple Watch can also control playback on a nearby iPhone.
