Family Tree Builder Pro turns what you know about your family into a chart you
can actually read. Start with yourself and build outwards: wherever a parent is
missing, the chart itself offers to add them, so there are no forms to fill in
before you see anything. Add photographs, dates, places and occupations, and
every card carries them. Parents sit above their children and children below
their parents, spouses stand side by side, and a marriage that ended is drawn
with a dotted line — so a glance tells you how the family fits together, not
just who is in it.
Real families are not tidy, and the app is built for the awkward parts. Second
marriages, childless marriages, step-parents and divorces are all recorded
properly rather than left off the chart, and each marriage keeps its own date.
Already have your research somewhere else? Import a GEDCOM and it arrives
whole — names, dates, places and every family link. When you want to show
someone, open any person's facts and share their whole story as a PDF, email
the chart as a PDF, PNG, SVG or GEDCOM file, or send a read-only link that
opens in any browser with no account needed.
