PhoneHome is the home phone, reborn — a private family phone where kids call the people you choose, and nobody else can ring.
TAP A FACE TO CALL
Kids get a speed dial of familiar faces: Mom, Dad, Grandma, a favorite cousin. No numbers to remember, no apps to browse, nothing to scroll. Just tap and talk.
ONLY PEOPLE YOU APPROVE
There's no public phone number and no searchable directory. Parents choose who's in each child's Circle, and both families approve before a call can ring. Strangers can't find your kids, and your kids can't stumble into strangers.
PARENTS STAY IN CONTROL
• Quiet Time for bedtime, school, or your own schedule
• Daily talk limits
• Timeout pauses every call in the house
• A parent PIN so settings stay put
• Separate kid and parent experiences on the same app
SEE WHO CALLED — NEVER WHAT WAS SAID
Activity shows parents who called and for how long. Calls are encrypted and never recorded, so there's nothing to listen back to — for you, or anyone else.
USE THE PHONES YOU ALREADY LOVE
On iPhone and iPad, calls ring on the Lock Screen like a real phone, and Face ID keeps sign-in safe. Prefer something kids can hold? Plug a classic home phone into a small adapter box and it joins the same private family line.
BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY CLOSER
Invite grandparents, co-parents, aunts, uncles, and family friends with a private link. Grandparents get a simple setup link — no passwords to type. TreeHouse and FamilyRoom give everyone a place to gather.
YOUR FAMILY'S OWN PRIVATE SERVER
Every family's calls run through its own Mothership — a private server your family trusts, not an ad company. No ads, no tracking, no feeds.
GETTING STARTED
PhoneHome needs an invite link or Mothership address from your family. Got an invite? Paste it and you're in — no server needed. Want to host your own? The Mothership is open source, with releases for macOS, Linux, and Windows:
