iSKipper is a comprehensive sailing app designed to be an essential tool for any sailor, integrating all key aspects of voyage management, safety, and logistics into a single mobile application. It replaces multiple papers, logbooks, and fragmented notes with one organized, easy-to-use solution.
Logbook
Trips are organized into individual journeys, with logs stored inside each trip for tidy record-keeping. As you add logs, the app automatically calculates average wind speed, average boat speed, barometric trends, distance, and duration. You can activate live tracking, export tracks as GPX files, and share a single log or an entire trip with other users.
Passage Planner
Plan routes in detail with waypoints (lat/long or buoys), including descriptions, distances, and bearings. You can also import GPX routes and follow them—ideal for night passages, pilotage, or navigating rivers and narrow channels.
Depth-to-Anchor (DTA) Calculator
Quickly estimate safe anchor rode length using vessel draft and local tidal movements (Rule of Twelfths). While not a replacement for precise local knowledge, it provides a helpful guide for safe anchoring.
Checklists
The app includes preset checklists and allows unlimited custom lists for pre-departure, post-voyage, shopping, hauling out, or any task you need to track. This ensures nothing essential is overlooked.
