Budgeee: Track Travel Expenses

Tracking cash is exhausting. Notes apps, spreadsheets, crumpled receipts - it's all so manual. As digital nomads, we needed something better. So we built Budgeee.

We're Stasia and Aron - married, digital nomads and travelling Southeast Asia. We tried all the tools to track our cash spending. Nothing was made for how we actually travel: multiple ATM withdrawals, switching currencies and trying to stick to our trip budget while doing mental math of how much we spent and where. So we built Budgeee for our own use case.
Turns out we weren't the only ones with this problem.

Budgeee is built for cash. Most travel expense apps assume your money moves through a bank app or a tidy list of card transactions. Anyone who's traveled knows that's not how it works - it's markets, tuk-tuks, hostels, street food and it adds up fast in ways that are easy to lose track of. Here's what that actually looks like in the app:

- Log a cash expense the second it happens: a couple of taps, no typing out long descriptions, no digging through receipts later trying to remember how much you actually spent and where
- Switch currencies without thinking about it: Budgeee converts as you go, with live rates, so a price tag in baht or rupiah instantly means something to you
- Tag expenses to where they happened: Budgeee syncs with Google Maps and auto-fills the location for you, so months later you can look back at every place you've visited and remember not just what you spent, but where you were: that beachside café, the hostel or the stall with that mango sticky rice that you're still thinking about
- Keep a digital cash wallet for every currency you're carrying: log an ATM withdrawal and it tops up, log an expense and it draws down, so your wallet always reflects exactly how much cash you've actually got on you
- See your whole trip in one view, with a clear running total and category and trip based metrics

And we're just getting started - there's more on the way.
