BudjetBuddy is an expense tracker built on the 50/30/20 rule: your income splits into needs, wants and savings, so you always know exactly where you stand. No spreadsheets, no steep learning curve, and no bank login. Set it up once, check in whenever you spend.

WHAT WE NEVER ASK FOR

We never ask for your bank login. There is no account linking and no access to your accounts. You log what you spend, or import a file you already have. Nothing else.

On the free plan your budget never leaves your phone. Your transactions, amounts and merchants are stored on your device and work fully offline. Encrypted cloud backup is a Premium option you switch on yourself.

No ads. No data selling. Ever. Our usage analytics can tell that an expense was logged. They cannot tell what it was, what it cost, or where you spent it.

• The 50/30/20 budget, done for you. Your income auto-splits into needs, wants and savings, with a live health score that tells you at a glance whether you are on track. Prefer a different mix? Every split is adjustable.
• Insights, not just numbers. Each month BudjetBuddy tells you what changed: the category running above its own average, how you compare to this point last month, and the regular payments adding up. Trends, income vs. spend and your savings rate sit underneath.
• Set up in minutes. Import your income, budgets and transactions from any file and let AI sort them. You review every figure before it is added.
• Log an expense in seconds. A fast keypad, or snap a receipt and let AI fill in the amount, merchant, date and category. You confirm before it saves.
• Goal Jars. Save for what actually matters, a trip or an emergency fund, with live progress and an automatic monthly set-aside.
• Budget together. Share Goal Jars with your partner or family, contribute from either side, and see everyone's activity in one place.
• Payday checklist. Line up bills, loans and cards for each payday, tick them off as you pay, and it resets every cycle.
• Set a limit per category. Decide what groceries, dining out or transport should cost this month, and see your limits add up as you type.
• Bill reminders and a weekly digest. A nudge before a bill is due, and a short weekly summary of where your money went. Pick the day, or turn it off.
• Trackers for everything. Loans, cards, investments, crypto and recurring reminders, in one calm place.
• Your currency. Pick from 150+ currencies and the whole app follows.

YOUR CRYPTO, READ ONLY

Connect a Luno account with a read-only API key and your balances sit alongside the rest of your money. Read-only always: we can look, never touch. The key is stored encrypted, and disconnecting deletes it. Revoke it in Luno any time.

Lock the app itself behind a PIN, your fingerprint or your face.

Free covers up to 30 expense entries a month, the full 50/30/20 budget, Goal Jars, the payday checklist, trackers, reminders, your insights and stats, and CSV and PDF export. Free is not a trial that expires and it is not ad-supported.

BUDJETBUDDY PREMIUM

Premium adds unlimited expense entries and AI file import, receipt scanning, encrypted cloud sync and backup across your devices, custom categories with your own icons and colours, exports straight to Google Drive, and one PDF of all your receipts. Every future Premium feature is included.

Subscriptions are billed through your app store account and renew until you cancel. Cancel any time in your store settings, in two taps. Cancelling keeps your data on your device.

NO LOCK-IN

Export your months to CSV or PDF on any plan, free included, so your numbers are always yours. Delete your account in Settings and everything on our servers is erased immediately: your budgets, receipt images, backup and any connected key.
