Korean recipes that work without internet. On the subway, in a country where your data does not work, in airplane mode — all 1,176 recipes open. The step photos are in the app too, so nothing waits to load.
■ You do not have to touch the phone while cooking
Cooking mode shows one step at a time in large type and keeps the screen awake. On a step that says "simmer 10 minutes", the timer starts by itself. If your hands are covered in batter, press a volume button to move on.
■ It tells you the waiting part first
A dish that needs beans soaked overnight says "2h ahead" right in the list. Dishes that need an oven, blender or steamer say so before you start, not after you have the ingredients out.
■ Cook with what is in the kitchen
Enter what you have and the recipes you can actually make come first. If you have no idea what to eat, ask for a suggestion.
■ Four languages, with romanized names
Korean, English, Japanese and Spanish. Dish and ingredient names carry their romanization, so you can match them against the label at a Korean grocery.
■ Substitutes for what you cannot find
What is hard to find depends on where you live. For ingredients like gochujang or perilla oil, the app tells you what to use instead and how the taste changes.
■ Shopping list, meal plan, your own notes
Ingredients from several recipes collapse into one shopping list. Change the serving size and the amounts follow; grams and cups convert too. Leave a note on a recipe — "half the sugar at our house" — and write in your own recipes.
■ Nothing is collected
No account. No ads. No tracking. The internet is used only when you check for recipe updates yourself in Settings. Favourites and notes stay on the device.
