SatSquatch is a tool designed for weather professionals and enthusiasts that aims to display images from GOES weather satellites (upcoming GOES-16, GOES-17) and response interfaces in a user-friendly way.
The basic version of SatSquatch allows access to all available basic satellite layers (full list below) as well as custom-derived products such as true color or visible/infrared composite layers. The app also allows users to browse up to 50 images and toggle overlays for its location, state boundaries, country boundaries, major highways, SPC outlooks, etc.
Upgrading to SatSquatch Pro ($4.99 / mo) allows for the overlay of important meteorological data information (such as temperature, dew point) or derived quantities (such as Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE) from our regular mesoscale analysis). Our mesoscale analysis is very frequent (updated every 15 minutes) and has a relatively high resolution (grid spacing of about 3km).
