SoKal: The Social Calendar

Efficiency

Creator: JUST CR8TIF LLC

SoKal is a smart calendar with social features, supporting data synchronization across iPhone, Mac, and web platforms. Users can quickly add events and view their monthly schedule at a glance. By default, privacy protection mechanisms allow users to customize the visibility of their information, ranging from displaying only busy status to revealing specific location details. The app distinguishes friends' plans using colors, intuitively showing their whereabouts and free time. It also includes an "Open Join" feature, which sends participation invitations to nearby friends; recipients can choose whether or not to respond, reducing social pressure. Additionally, it supports initiating event invitations with one click and tracking responses in real-time, while logging trips to a personal travel map, helping users efficiently plan schedules and encourage offline gatherings.

YOUR CALENDAR
- Add events in seconds and see your whole month at a glance
- Use it on iPhone, Mac, and the web. Everything stays in sync.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
- Nothing is shared until you say so
- Choose what each person you add can see, down to location details
- Or keep it simple and just show "busy"

YOUR FRIENDS
- Friends' plans show up in their own colors right next to yours
- Know when friends are in town, traveling nearby, or free

OPEN TO JOIN
Going anyway? Turn on Open to join and the nearby friends you pick get a ping. They come if they want. Nobody feels pressured.

INVITES THAT WORK
- Invite anyone with one tap. We'll send the text.
- See who's in, who's out, and who's still thinking about it

TRAVEL MAP
- Every trip you take lands on your personal travel map

Your calendar was always missing a social layer. Now it has one.

CHANGELOG最近更新

版本

1.2.0

2026-10-22

SoKal 1.2 is our biggest update yet.

Built for iPhone Duo
Fold it, flip it, open it up. SoKal uses both screens so your calendar and your social life sit side by side. Event details, profiles and your notifications use the whole display, and sheets open on the side you tapped.

A fresh look
We redesigned the whole app. Plans in your feed show who's going at a glance, event details open with a big header, a map and the weather, and map silhouettes are richer everywhere. Plus a new icon and two new themes, Sand and Sage.

New ways to see your days
Multi-day view on iPhone puts two days side by side. Swipe to move one day at a time. Week view is here on iPad and iPhone Duo.

Places with history
See how many friends have been somewhere before and who's a regular. Your outings show up on the map too.

Make events by talking
Double-tap the add button and say your plan, or just type it in plain words (beta). SoKal builds the event, friends included.

Online events
Add a meeting, ticket or event link to any plan, so friends know exactly where to join.

You choose what friends see
When you accept a friend request, pick exactly which kinds of plans they can see. Linking calendars now spells out what changes, and what doesn't.

Friends on the move
A new Trips row in Network shows who's traveling now and who's headed your way.

Made for the big screen
On iPad, text, cards, sheets and the Travel screen are bigger and easier to read, with layouts that make the most of portrait and landscape.

Faster everywhere
Your calendar opens sooner, photos load quicker, and events and profiles open snappier.

Less clutter
We removed the leaderboard to keep things focused.
