To take a fixed share — 40%, say — enter the total, then press ×4 and /10.

It bypasses standard "order of operations" rules (where multiplication/division take precedence over addition/subtraction). Instead, it follows the way people naturally think when splitting a bill:
"Add up all the amounts first, then divide by the number of people."
The app calculates from left to right: entering "10 + 8 / 2" yields 9, not 14.
