Don School Old Boys' Society (DSOBS)
This is a dedicated application for the alumni of Don School, Dehradun.
Most features are exclusive to old boys (login requires verification and approval by the DSOBS office). Some features, such as Rose Bowl Publications, Don School Alumni in the News, and Footprints (the social work of Don School alumni), are accessible to all.
The application enables old boys to connect with each other and interact with the entire community. They can send messages to each other in private spaces as well as in interest-based public chat rooms, receive notifications of DSOBS events, information on social and business activities carried out by Don School alumni, an employment and career section (for Don School alumni and job seekers recommended by alumni), view each other's careers and profiles in detail, and the search function is supported.
The application employs the highest level of cloud-based encryption security measures.
Further measures have been taken to ensure that the quality of interaction among old boys meets certain integrity standards. All private messages and interactions in public chat rooms are rated to show the usefulness of members' messages and comments, as well as the total number of blocks and blacklists accumulated by individual members.
Old boys using the application are required to create an online space filled with support, acceptance, humor, camaraderie, honor, utility, and integrity.
As Don School alumni, adhering to the ideals set by the founder and our experiences in school, we aim to give back to society as a whole. To further this endeavor, we have a "Footprints" section that showcases the actions of Don School alumni to inspire more alumni to join and initiate new initiatives for the well-being of our fellow citizens.
Our school motto remains "Knowledge is my light" as always, and the aim of DSOBS is to create a service-oriented community into which boys enter - a "noble band of service".
