CapTran：跨 App 实时翻译字幕

CapTran is an on-device real-time translation and file transcription tool.

CapTran also supports real-time translated subtitles. It captures audio from other apps via system screen broadcasting, performs speech recognition and translation locally on the device, and displays the subtitles within CapTran or as a floating picture-in-picture subtitle above other apps.

You can also import audio or video files to convert speech to text and subtitles directly on your device, making it ideal for processing lectures, meetings, interviews, and video content. After transcription, you can review the subtitle content and export the subtitles as an SRT file.

To use real-time translation:

1. Download the required speech recognition and translation models

2. Tap "Start Translation"

3. Select CapTran from the system screen broadcasting list

You can choose to display the original text, translated text, or bilingual subtitles.

CapTran does not upload audio to the cloud nor record audio. Once the models are prepared, you can continue using the app offline.

CapTran Pro supports saving timestamped subtitles, SRT export, and video import, allowing you to transcribe recorded videos and export subtitles as .srt files.
