Anvilrity

Anvilrity is a workshop companion for blacksmiths, bladesmiths and ornamental smiths. It keeps the records that decide how a piece turns out: what steel you used, how many heats it took, what temperature you quenched at and what hardness you measured.

PROJECT JOURNAL
Create a card for every piece with type, steel, technique, target dimensions and deadline. Work through a stage checklist from drawing out to final finish. Record each forging session with the number of heats, resulting dimensions and how the steel behaved. Track how the piece changes shape from raw stock to finished blade, attach progress photos, and keep client briefs and cost estimates alongside the work.

HEAT TREATMENT RECORDS
Log normalizing cycles, austenitizing temperature, soak time, quench medium, tempering schedule and measured hardness for every blade. Each record is drawn as a cooling curve against the transformation nose so you can see what the schedule actually did.

FORGE CALCULATORS

Inventory for bar stock, hammers, tongs, anvils, forges and grinders, with condition tracking and maintenance history. Consumables with low stock alerts, handle material comparison and a supplier directory.

BLACKSMITH ACADEMY
Twelve lessons across three levels, from steels and heat colour through heat treatment, blade geometry and handles to damascus, ornamental work, axes and shop economics. Each lesson has theory, a procedural diagram, the mistakes that ruin the work, and a five question test. A glossary of more than 280 terms, a daily craft tip with a streak counter, and a competency radar that shows where the gaps are.
