NibVault

NibVault is a thoughtfully designed, private home for fountain pen and ink collections.

Catalogue the pens and inks you own, remember what is currently inked, record every fill, and keep the practical details and personal history of your collection together.

COLLECTION RECORDS

• Record brands, models, variants, colours, materials, nibs, filling systems, condition, capacity, acquisition details, value and notes.
• Select multiple colours, body materials and nib sizes, combining catalogue choices with your own custom values.
• Add multiple photographs and choose a collection cover—or keep NibVault’s standard pen or ink icon.
• Browse, search, filter, favourite and archive records without losing their history.
• Track bottle quantities, remaining ink levels, colour families, swatches and properties including sheen, shimmer, shading, limited editions, collaborations and vintage-safe inks.

FILLS, CARE AND ROTATION

• Pair pens with inks and keep a useful fill history.
• See currently inked pens and favourite inks from the Collection overview.
• Record cleaning, flushing, inspection, nib work, repairs and professional servicing.
• Schedule local cleaning and rotation reminders for a date and time chosen by you.
• Review upcoming, due-today and overdue reminders inside NibVault.

WISHLIST AND GRAILS

• Keep wanted pens and inks in one focused wishlist, available directly from Collection.
• Mark special long-term targets as grails.
• Save preferred variants, nibs, target prices, notes and useful listing links.

AN INDEPENDENT REFERENCE CATALOGUE

• Start new records from NibVault’s predefined catalogue of manufacturers, pens, inks, variants, nibs, colours and formats.
• Download catalogue additions and corrections without waiting for a new app release.
• Leave automatic monthly checks enabled, opt out, or check manually whenever you choose.
• Suggest a missing manufacturer, pen or ink, or submit a correction for review without leaving the app.

IMPORT, EXPORT AND BACKUP

• Create complete portable NibVault backups, including photographs and collection history.
• Preview exactly what a backup contains before restoring it.
• Import existing CSV or Excel collections with guided column mapping and skip fields you do not want.
• Export selected pens, inks, fill history and care records as CSV or multi-sheet Excel workbooks.

SHARE YOUR WAY

• Send NibVault’s App Store link to a friend through Apple’s share sheet.
• Send a reviewable NibVault item link that another user can import.
• Create polished PDF records with selected details, fill history, notes and care records.
• Make social cards and choose which recorded details to include.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

NibVault requires no account. Your personal collection, photographs, prices, notes, fill history and Care records remain locally on your device and are not uploaded to NibVault.

The app connects to nibvault.app only to check for and download optional reference-catalogue updates, send catalogue suggestions that you explicitly review and submit, refresh the status of those suggestions, and open support or privacy pages. A catalogue suggestion contains only the fields shown in its review screen; NibVault never attaches your collection.

There are no advertisements, subscriptions or locked features. Optional one-off in-app tips are available for anyone who wishes to support the passion project; purchasing one does not unlock or change anything.

NibVault supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Greek, with light, dark and device-matched appearances.
