RainyDay: Budget & Expenses

Do you want to track your expenses and plan your budget?
RainyDay is the budget planner for you, and helps you to save for a rainy day! RainyDay is a spending and expense tracker, which allows you to manage your money and finances efficiently. With RainyDay, your transactions are imported automatically, to reduce the effort it takes to create a budget and gather detailed insights into your financial situation and analyze your income and spending behaviour.

Start by connecting your bank account. You can specify how far back you allow us to look to import your transactions, so you have full control! We currently support 1000+ banks in 20 countries, including ABN Amro, Rabobank, Banco Santander, HSBC, ING, and many more. If we do not support your specific bank, send us an email at support@apprainyday.com and we will try to add your bank to our list.


Categories

After connecting your bank account, your transactions will be retrieved. You can now start categorizing your transactions. There is a list of default categorizations, but you can customise these in any way you want, and even delete them. Of course, you can also create new categories. You can assign a transaction to one category, or to multiple categories to split the transaction. These categories help you to plan your budget exactly how you want, helping you save money.


Reimbursements

Have you paid for tickets for the whole group, or paid the bill for a dinner with your friends, and do they want to pay you back? RainyDay has got you covered. To obtain even more detail in your budget and financial situation, you can mark income transactions as reimbursements for expenses, which will subtract the reimbursed amount from the expense in all reports and insights. This makes sure your RainyDay can give you an accurate overview of your budget and expenses, so you don't get surprised.


Graphs
RainyDay provides graphs which give you accurate insights into your daily and monthly expenses. The app keeps track of your daily expenses which it shows in a nice calendar, where you can see how much money you spent per day. You can also view your expenses per category/sub-category, where you can select whatever date range you want.

The app provides a free tier, allowing you to use the app without any subscription. However, as we need to maintain the app, some features are locked behind a subscription. The available plans are as follows:
