Please note that at this time the Fruit Patch App supports states in the Eastern USA that fall within USDA plant hardiness zones 5, 6, 7 and 8 (see our service area map in the app store image carousel for details).
By leveraging expert edible landscape knowledge the Fruit Patch App is designed to guide you through a simple selection process for full sun or partial shade fruit options complete with tree and bush descriptions that highlight the ornamental and productive characteristics of fruits suited to your region. Sets of either culinary or pollinator companion plants are also included to diversify your patch. The Fruit Patch App also offers you resources on planting and recommended nurseries to help make your fruit growing experience easy and successful.
Whether your goal is a single, self-fertile, disease-resistant apple tree supported by culinary herb companion plants, or native elderberry patches with pollinator habitat companions, the Fruit Patch App will guide you through the process of actualizing your fruitfull dreams.
The Fruit Patch App currently guides you to select between 10 different fruiting centerpieces in one or two-patch combinations alongside of options for herbal or pollinator-focused companion plants. Future updates will include additional fruit types, combination possibilities, and new planting category options such as culinary mushrooms.
