What you can scan:
Packaged food — Scan any barcode and get a score from 0 to 100 across five independent pillars: ingredient quality, additives and preservatives, processing level, contaminants, and nutritional profile. We use the NOVA classification system, the most scientifically validated framework for ultra-processed food, alongside the EU's own additive safety register. Every E-number is assessed individually. Not just flagged. Assessed.
Supplements — The supplement industry in Europe has no mandatory pre-market testing. A label can say 500mg and contain half that. Klar is the first consumer app to score supplements on label accuracy alongside ingredient quality and clinical evidence. We show you which products have been independently verified and which ones are asking you to trust their word.
Tap water by city — We mapped drinking water quality across major European cities using official EU monitoring data, including the new mandatory PFAS limits introduced under the 2026 Drinking Water Directive. Search your city and see exactly what's in your water, how it compares across Europe, and whether a filter makes a meaningful difference for your specific contaminant profile.
Cosmetics and sunscreen — Scored against SCCS opinions and EU cosmetic safety regulations, not fear-based ingredient blacklists. We tell you what the science actually says, at the concentrations that actually matter.
