Consistent cadence is the fastest route to better running. It builds efficiency, improves performance, and takes the guesswork out of easy gains.

SET YOUR CADENCE FOR ANY SESSION

Zone 2 easy run? Set it low — 160–165 BPM — and lock in a steady, sustainable rhythm you can hold for an hour without drifting.

Tempo or threshold run? Push it to 170–175 and train your body to sustain a faster turnover at controlled effort.

Race pace? Dial in your target cadence and practise holding it. Come race day, the rhythm is already in your legs.

Strides and speed work? Crank it up to 185–195 and match your feet to the beat. Cadence teaches fast turnover as a physical habit, not a number on a watch.

Recovery or cool-down? Drop it low and let the beat slow you down. Runners almost always recover too fast. The metronome won't let you.

BPM range of 150–200 — from easy recovery pace through fast strides. Adjustable by slider or single-tap increments.

Tap Tempo: tap in rhythm with your current footstrike and the app locks to your cadence. Find out what you're running at before you decide what to aim for.

Volume control to dial the beat beneath speech audio or push it forward when you need a stronger cue.

Elapsed timer so you can leave your other apps alone.

Screen wake lock keeps your phone awake during your run.
