MarginNote is a PDF note-taking tool for deep readers. One excerpt serves as a PDF highlight, a mind map node, and a flashcard simultaneously - taking effect in three places with a single record. This is the "Card Axis" architecture that eliminates the need to shuttle back and forth between PDF readers, note-taking apps, and flashcard software. It has been iterated for 10 years and has an 188,000 rating on the App Store.

【Four Key Features】

▸ Card Axis - One excerpt takes effect in three places. Document highlights, mind map nodes, and flashcards are three renderings of the same card.
▸ Title Link - Old notes automatically appear in new documents. When you read a familiar concept, past annotations are automatically highlighted on the page.

【Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+)】

The "Learning Tips" in the Immersion Recall mode can be set to use Apple Intelligence (device-side) or a network LLM in the settings. In Apple Intelligence mode, there are three levels of tips - Proximity Coordinates / Guided Inquiry / Key Differences - generated locally on your device by Apple Foundation Models: no internet connection, no AI points deducted, and note content does not leave the device. Even if you choose a network LLM, the system will automatically switch to Apple Intelligence as a fallback when the network is disconnected (provided that the current device supports it) - you won't be unable to use the tips due to no signal on a plane, subway, or in the library.
